Opscompass Release: Drift, Document Management, and Data Gathering Updates

This release includes updates to data gathering scripts, fixes and usability improvements for Drift, enhancements to Oracle supporting document workflows, and improvements to document management and platform consistency.

Data Gathering 

Data Gathering Scripts 

  • Updated JavaScript module bootstrap process 
  • Improved compatibility with Windows and Opscompass Studio environments 
  • Addressed miscellaneous script issues and stability improvements 
  • Added version validation for Node.js and the Opscompass CLI during runall.sh execution 
  • Automatically updates supported script dependencies when required 
  • Important: Base scripts now require Opscompass CLI version 1.3.6 or later to transmit data gathering logs alongside collected data 

Bug Fixes/Improvements 

Drift Updates 

  • Restored Smart Summary actions and results in the Drift flyout 
  • Fixed an issue causing Smart Summary requests to return a 404 error 
  • Resolved a Safari-specific issue that prevented the Drift detail flyout from rendering 
  • Updated inaccessible drift concerns to consistently display disabled acknowledgment controls 

Oracle Supporting Document Extraction 

  • Added a confirmation dialog before discarding extracted Oracle product details 
  • Cancel now keeps users on the review page 
  • Confirm continues the discard process and returns users to Entitlement Manager 

Document Manager 

  • Standardized document type names across the interface 
  • Downloads a single selected file directly instead of packaging it in a ZIP archive 
  • Continues to generate a ZIP archive when multiple files are selected 
  • Updated related Oracle document notification displays 

Misc. 

  • Fixed error handling of failed Oracle entitlement files
  • Updated script documentation PDFs 
  • Fixed capitalization in compliance status titles (e.g., “Compliance Status” to “Compliance status”) 
  • Corrected company name from “OpsCompass” to “Opscompass” in welcome messages and email digest headers
