New Feature
With the changing needs of our customers, we have now added the ability to connect Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) tenants to OpsCompass! OpsCompass will periodically scan OCI resources and changes.
Resource types currently supported:
- OracleCloud/Instance
- OracleCloud/Vnic
- OracleCloud/Subnet
- OracleCloud/InternetGateway
- OracleCloud/RouteTable
- OracleCloud/SecurityList
Data Gathering
- Release 0.8.14 of base-scripts fixes issues when installing Node.js in system context on Debian platforms
- Fixed environment problem running under cron when Node.js is installed in system context
- Adjust ~/.npmrc to allow local installation of the CLI as the data gathering user with Node.js installed in system context
- Fixed cosmetic / logging issue when running data gathering scripts as a delegate user
- Fixed a problem with standalone installer when /tmp is mounted noexec
- Fixed a module permissions problem caused by restrictive umask during PowerShell installation, that prevented non-root users from accessing VMware PowerCLI
- Added Config/firewall-test.sh to help troubleshoot firewall / certificate issues
- Explicitly set umask to 022 for installs and execution to avoid problems
- Set timezone to UTC for data gathering session so filenames show UTC date/time
- Deployed new database user creation scripts for oracle-features (features usage, EBS) as well as oracle-compliance (CIS)
Bug Fixes/Improvements
- Merged role permissions into three remaining roles: User, Database Manager, and Administrator.
- Updated Invite User and Change Roles pages, using dropdown menus to select permissions and teams.
- Updated design for Manage Drift Teams to be more intuitive, using multiple select dropdowns.
- Updated the Data Gathering Implementation Guide document on the Script Documentation
page. - Removed Compliance Status Changes from Resource History
- Lock adm-zip version for OpsCompass CLI so data gathering scripts retain archive file permissions on download
- Processing legacy data gathering files now gracefully ignores deprecated sections and handles rows with too few columns (generated by older versions of Oracle <11g)
- Fixed a problem when invalid data is entered for notification email address in data gathering configuration files
